First Aid Course For Work
Become a first aider and you’ll make a real difference to the well-being of your colleagues and other people outside your workplace.
First aid provision in the workplace saves lives. It can prevent minor problems or injuries from becoming major or even fatal. It can help employers reduce costs from injury when these events occur.
And it is a legal obligation for every single employer to make sure their employees receive the right first aid care in the workplace. It is also an obligation to employees to help their fellow colleagues should they fall to such medical problems and injuries.
First aiders
Depending on the hazards and number of employees in the workplace your first aiders will need to be trained in either Emergency first aid at work or First aid at work.
- Emergency first aid at work – one-day course for smaller low-risk workplaces
- First aid at work – three-day course for initial qualification
- First aid at work (requalification) – two-day course to re-qualify existing first aiders
The HSE strongly recommend that your first aiders complete an annual refresher course to keep their skills fresh and qualified to continue their practice.
People who work with young children
Our Paediatric first aid is for people who work with children up to the age of eight. It meets the Ofsted requirements for registered Childminders and the requirements for nannies under the DfES Approved Carers Scheme.
Defibrillator training
In the UK, one person suffers a heart attack every two minutes but the majority could be saved if their heart was shocked back into rhythm. Our Defibrillator training course will teach you how to use an automated external defibrillator in order to save lives.
