Ship Security Officer + Maritime Defensive Anti Piracy (MDAP)
This course is 2-days (course notes and lunches included).
The course is a blend of BTEC Level 2 Security operations along with other marine qualifications to give you a intensive and well rounded course.
The training team is a mix of:
- Qualified Deck Officers
- Operational Close Protection Officers
- Department for Transport instructor
The Training Objectives (TO’s) that will be covered are:
- BTEC Level 2 Award Security Guarding
- Ship design and orientation (theoretical and Practical)
- Ship terminology and crew rank structure
- Ship drills and anti-boarding drills
- Maritime search training (weapons and explosives)
- Ship and Port Facility visits (subject to availability)
The GMDSS / SRC VHF including DSC Radio Operators Course is included as part of the MDAP.
The MDAP Culminates in a desktop based exercise involving, passage planning, risk and threat assessment, anti-boarding measures.
We can also offer Sea survival course to the standard STCW 95 MNTB.
