CCTV – Public Space Surveillance

The duty of a CCTV operator is to observe the public and public spaces through the use of a CCTV system, the recording of normal activities, incidents or occurrences and reporting to a higher authority if required. Learners must understand the legal requirements to ensure that recorded information is admissible evidence if required. Also the knowledge of the systems used that make up the CCTV system and it’s compatibility with other equipment used.
